Who we are

This website, uxnotivo.online, is operated by Uxnotivo, an independent UX research service. For any question about this notice or your data, write to hello@uxnotivo.online. We do not publish a postal address; email is the way to reach us about privacy matters.

What we collect and why

Anything you include in an emailWhen you email us directlyTo reply to you and, if you ask, prepare a quote
IP address, browser details, pages requested and timeWhen any page is requested, in server logs kept by our hostTo run, secure and troubleshoot the website

A session cookieWhen the contact form is displayedTo protect the form against forged submissions

We do not use analytics tools, advertising pixels, session recording, heatmaps, social media widgets or third-party fonts. The free tools on this site run entirely in your browser and do not send or store anything you type.

Contact form details

When you send the form, your message is delivered to our inbox by email. To protect the form, the server stores a one-way hash of your IP address with a count and a time, so that repeated submissions can be limited. These records are deleted automatically after 24 hours. Your message itself is not stored on the web server after it has been sent.

A hidden field on the form helps detect automated spam. It does not collect information about you.

How long we keep data

Contact messages and related email correspondence are kept for as long as needed to respond and, if a project follows, for the life of the project and a reasonable period afterward for business and tax records. If no project follows, we delete correspondence within 24 months unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider according to its own retention settings, which are designed for security and troubleshooting.

Who else processes your data

We use a small number of service providers to run this site and our email:

  • Our web hosting provider, which stores the site and keeps server logs.
  • Our email provider, which carries and stores email sent through the form or directly.

These providers process data on our behalf. Our host and email provider may process or store data outside your state or outside the United States. We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If you become a client, project data such as research recordings is handled under the written agreement and plan for that project.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it or to delete it. Write to hello@uxnotivo.online. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, and in any case as promptly as we reasonably can. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, which we will do by replying to the email address associated with the data.

Some US states give residents specific privacy rights, such as rights to access, delete or correct personal data and to opt out of sale or targeted advertising. Because this site does not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising, there is nothing to opt out of, but we honor requests from anyone, wherever they live. Browser opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control are respected by default, since no tracking takes place.

Children

This site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. The contact form uses protections against forged submissions and automated abuse. Email is sent to our inbox over an encrypted connection. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as passwords or payment details through the form.

Changes to this notice

Whenever our data practices change, this notice is revised and its date refreshed. A larger change gets a short summary at the very start, so returning readers can spot it.
